    Rainier, Oregon
    Cornerstone Cafe

Cornerstone Cafe is just a short drive across the bridge from Longview, WA. Located in a small town this diner offers delicious food. I had breakfast and there was an extra fresh taste that left me wanting to definitely return again in the future. Service was 5 star just as the food was. Interior had a little something to appeal to everyone. There was even a little area for kids with books. A large tv that could be viewed from almost every seat. They served alcohol, had a large community type board and a warm home feeling inside. I definitely recommend this diner.

A small cafe in Rainer oregon.  This place is a staple of the town and was recommended by a coworker who lives in Rainer.  My experience was okay, not spectacular.  The food was just okay S well. (I had eggs and hash browns).  Sadly their were fruit flies flying around the dinning area so it was a bit irritating.  The service was good.  I probably won't be back due to not living in Rainer and merely passing through every day on my commute to work.

Corner stone has wonderful breakfasts and now here for dinner for the first time. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and burgers and a decent selection of signature dishes...and a few more desserts than you'd expect. It was "seat yourself " and there was plenty of seating so we sat right away. The waitress was here within just a few minutes to check if we were ready to order. They have a selection of beers, craft beers, wine and cocktails. She came back promptly to take our order and everything looked absolutely delicious--and it was all above expectations! We ordered the chicken fried steak (my FB covered his with the corn that came on the side), the BLT my daughter got she said it was loaded with meaty (meaning not very fatty) bacon, and a tomatoe without too many seeds! I got the "Charles E Fox" but substituted the sour dough with wheat. The wheat did not disappoint! The roast beef wasn't skimpy, grilled perfectly and not too greasy. I'd totally recommend to anyone!

Great little cafe with good food and great service!
I'm a chicken fried steak fan and after seeing a Facebook post asking for best chicken fried steak places locally, and seeing several recommendations for the Cornerstone Cafe, I knew I had to give it a try.  It was quite busy on the Saturday we decided to visit.   Had about a 10 minute wait for a table.  When we were seated, our waitress was very friendly and prompt.   In addition to coloring pages for the kids, there is also a shelf with various toys. My grandsons loved the toys.

I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast (of course) and my daughter ordered the Kristina breakfast sandwich.   This was a French toast, egg, provolone cheese and egg sandwich.   On the advice of the waitress, my daughter opted for bacon rather than the ham.   Also came with their wonderfully perfectly crispy hashbrowns.  I'm not sure why these hash browns were so much better than other hashbrowns, but they truly were.  My chicken fried steak was very good as well.

Really enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere.  Hope to return soon!

    Nice atmosphere. Warm homey feeling.
The noise from the video poker off the side room can be distracting so sit in the main area if that bothers you.
I had the fried clams which was ok.  I'll try something more interesting next time.
